Hi, my name is RA and I have a problem.
You see, I can’t stop taking pictures of our new dog. I’ve never had a dog before, so the whole thing is very novel to me. Plus, Ted is really cute, so I can hardly help it. Whenever he contorts himself into a weird shape, plays with a toy, cavorts in the yard, lounges on the carpet, or falls asleep, I find the camera in my hand, unbidden. The next thing I know, I have enough pictures from one weekend to make my own Flipbook o’ Ted.
Rather than recover from this new habit, I’ve decided to embrace it in the interest of keeping a record of Ted’s growth and activities. It’s for history, thankyouverymuch. Instead of having topical Ted updates, as with the first installment of Dogarazzi, I’m going to take it a week at a time, choosing highlights from each week to showcase Ted’s (and my) progress. I’ll create a mosaic that will allow me to share a group of terrific Ted moments, all detailed on Flickr.
Doesn’t that sound official and high-minded? When, really, this change of heart is motivated by the fact that I could not decide on a focus for this week. Between the new Wii, the new collar, and me figuring out how to hold him, Ted made some big strides in the cuteness arena. Only choosing a few shots to display here? Um, no. They say to pick your poison and this is (one of) mine.
Tune in to Roosday-Tuesday and Wednesday-Bensday for the other two-thirds of the doggie cuteness trifecta!

You love him!! I knew you would love him!!!! Let’s hope he doesn’t get naughty or chew-y or otherwise annoying.
Oh, the chewing, it has begun. The thing is that Ted’s high cuteness factor covers a lot of sins, which I hope never realizes. And - is that gloating I see?
I officially give you permission to take as many pictures of Ted as you want. In the digital age, what’s the harm? It’s not like you are taking a roll of film to be developed and paying for prints, only to find out that 2/3 of them are of your cats. No, it’s not like that at all. Thank God for digital cameras.
Amen, sister. I would be swimming in film cases at this point.
I can hardly breathe from the cuteness of Ted. I thought my dogs were cute, but Ted is giving them a run for their money.
Isn’t that, like, a form of dog owner disloyalty? I’ll never tell… but we are very flattered! Because I plan on taking credit for Ted’s cuteness, of course.
I love that picture of just his paws. Simply love it.
And the picture in the corner? With the one little ear flopped down? So freaking adorable.
He’s so photogenic — he simply screams to be photographed!
Yes, it’s HIS fault I’m taking so many pictures, right? It’s like a hypnotic superpower or something.
I love the one on the bottom right the best. it’s like he is a stuffed animal…but he isn’t!
I also love that this dog is turning you into a big bowl of oatmeal. You are absolutely mushy in love with him!
I wouldn’t go so far as to say I was IN LOVE yet, but the little guy is growing on me. My residual discomfort is stopping me from taking the full in-love-plunge. But give me a minute and I’ll let you know when that happens.
Is it just me or is he getting cuter by the minute?
No, it’s not just you…
Heh.
I give it a month.. and you’ll be even more smitten.
Fine, fine, that’s fair.
Adorable! So glad that everything is working out!
Thanks, Kelly! So far, so good - and he even goes into his crate willingly now. It’s amazing how much things change in such a short time.
