While on the phone with JG during my long weekend away:
RA: So, how’s Ted?
JG: He’s fine…his other ear perked up today.
RA: Oh, no! I miss those floppy ears already…
JG: Um. It’s okay, dear. At least now his ears match.
RA: I guess.
I arrived home to find that it was, indeed, true. Ah, well. I suppose Ted had to inherit the Westie ears at some point. In light of this major transition, this week’s Dogarazzi chronicles the evolution of ears from full-on flop to perpetual perk. Sigh.
Tune in to Roosday-Tuesday and Wednesday-Bensday for the other two-thirds of the doggie cuteness trifecta!

Oh no! He is still super adorable, but I am going to miss that one ear up, one ear flopped look.
JG just thought he looked indecisive like that.
I love the perked up ears! It makes Ted look perpetually surprised.
Too funny - you’re so right.
He does look surprised! That Ted is just too precious for words!
Aw, I’m sure your Ted is precious too…
Ha, I HATE when that happens. Ricky’s floppy ears as a baby bun have now perked straight up too. *snuffle*
The floppy ears are something I didn’t think I’d miss until the first one popped up. But now, we can never have that back. Very sad…
The funny thing is that you train Sheltie (Shetland Sheepdog) ears to flop like Ted’s were before. We had a Sheltie when I was growing up. I like his ears both ways- I wish they’d go back and forth!
Ooh, I love Shelties! They’re so pretty and friendly.
Oh, I don’t think I can emphasize enough how cute he is. I want him.
While I appreciate the speechlessness, er, you can’t have him.
Aw, your dog is so precious. Love it.
Hi, Katelin! Thanks!
Makes me want a little doggie! So, so cute.
I vaguely recall that you have a cat…how would a dog go over?
