Dogarazzi: Week 6

I am happy to report that yesterday was so much better than the day before. Not only did I avoid crying, I managed to focus on the good and have a really fun time with my fellow talent-show-coordinating team members. The crisp, San Francisco air agreed with me and having dinner with co-workers within view of the Golden Gate Bridge was a great conclusion. I’m relieved to have ended the trip on a high note and also really grateful for such supportive comments in this neck of the woods. Thank you.

After a total of four days away from my boys, I’m killing most of today on a flight back home. I have to say — I’m looking forward to a little warm doggie hug. Have I crossed the line into Dog Love? Let the gloating begin. Or at least continue.

Oh, and I missed JG, too, of course.

In lieu of doggie hugs this week, I reverted to electronic Ted when I wanted a fix. My desktop wallpaper, saved pictures, Flickr set, and cell phone don’t really do him justice, but they’re nice reminders of what’s waiting for me at home.

Dogarazzi Week 6

Tune in to Roosday-Tuesday and Wednesday-Bensday for the other two-thirds of the doggie cuteness trifecta!

Have you seen the Petco (maybe Petsmart) commercial where the little doggie is running around his house, and he passes a mirror and has to pause and look at himself because he looks so darn good in his doggie outfit? Is that the same kind of dog as Ted? Because it looks exactly like him (very cute).

I had to look up that commercial on YouTube to see what you mean, but I don’t think it’s a Westie. I’m mostly judging by the longer legs, but maybe JG can help me out on this one. On another note, how can you not love the argyle dog sweater?! JG is anti-dog clothing, though. Boo. I’m campaigning hard for a Halloween costume, regardless.

Ted has invaded your life! I love it. I’m so glad that the SF trip got better… your fellow talent show coords LOOK like nice, nontear inducing people. (Appearances can be deceiving.)

Whenever my cube-mate sees my desktop or my cell phone, she’s like, “Just face it, you LOOOOVE that dog.” And, yes, my talent show team is great. If they can get me to dance to “Sexy Back”, you know they have some pull with me.

Virtual Ted! Does it get any cuter than that?

Real-life Ted is cuter! :)

When we first got Rufus, we left him with my parents for a week while we went to London. My first trip out of the country….and I frequently had to e-mail to check on him! I still miss my dogs whenever I have to leave them…and then I come home and they drive me crazy!

We’re going away for the weekend and our friend is so excited about dogsitting for us. It’s weird to leave him in another person’s house, but I think I’ll be okay.
