Dogarazzi: Week 7

Ted is not quite at the point where we can leave him unattended and loose in the house. Usually, I hold on to him while JG does other things like make popcorn, scoop ice cream, or mess with a video game; I generally give him back and return to my book or knitting afterward. Lately, though, JG has noticed that, during his errands, he may hear nonsensical babble like:

  • “Who’s my little puppy?”
  • “Who’s the cutest doggie EVER?”
  • “Oh, we’re gonna dance, huh? Dancey-dance?”

JG pinned me right away: “You’re all ‘Oh, I’m just going to occupy Ted while JG’s busy,’ but you’re actually playing! You’re having fun!”

I screwed up my face and retorted, “I hope that isn’t gloating because that’s not allowed in our deal!”

“I’m not gloating,” JG said, “I’m just confirming that YOU LOVE THE DOG!”

Fine. I begrudgingly concede that I love the freaking dog.

(Let the Shoving It In My Face commence.)

the cuteness of ted is definitely not going away huh? I’m glad you love him.

If anything, it looks like the cuteness might be increasing… IS THAT POSSIBLE?! And as you predicted, I am officially a mushy bowl of oatmeal.

There is no shame in loving a puppy :)

I know, I know. It’s just very…unlike me…with the babbling and whatnot. You know, my ironclad facade and everything…

Aw! Cutest couple ever!

Ha! I waved that in JG’s face and he just shrugged and said, “Okay. It’s my two favorite things, right?” So, that’s kind of cute.

Awww, you and Ted are so cute together! I’m so glad you love him.

The caption on the flickr page about him being a sack of “Ted taters”? Made me laugh so hard!

I thought that might be over the top, but I seriously say that. I’m glad that that kind of thing is what you people are about, evidently. :)

It’s happened! Woohoo!

You gave me a month a little while ago, remember? I think you were about right!

You two are just too cute together! And how could you not love a cute little man like Ted?

And I agree with Audrey about the Ted taters. I’m tempted to call my husband that and see how it goes over!

Ooh, let me know how that goes.

I think he gets cuter every time you post pictures of him! And seriously, if you hadn’t fallen in love with him, I’d be worried, because you’d have to be heartless no to fall in love with that cute little doggie face!

He really is endearing. It’s like a superpower…

How could you not melt and coo over that puppy?? I’m glad you’re relaxing into the lovefest. :)

The lovefest! That’s exactly the right word.
