After my coffee date with Justine, I had my marching orders: check site stats on Technorati and write up a brief bio. I sent in my stats that day, but I gave myself more time to write my bio because that sort of blurb always feels awkward to me. Do I sell myself? Try to be funny? Include blog information? Val proofread my draft for me, and I submitted the final version the day before the deadline. Done!
The day after the deadline, I received an e-mail from Justine, already a few hours old, asking where my bio was. She was going on vacation, she wrote, so could I send it within a couple of hours?
Gah! I quickly forwarded my previous message with a note of apology and proceeded to fret. Was I too late? What if this lapse eliminated me from the pack? No, it would probably be my low traffic numbers. But I sent in the bio on time! Stupid internet!
A week passed and turned into ten days. I resolved to let two weeks go by before following up; I dreaded getting an e-mail saying that it was lovely to meet me, but I wasn’t right for the program. Sigh.
The day before the two-week mark, JG found a box on the doorstep from FedEx, and when I opened it, I found:
Yay! The official paperwork rested in that big envelope, and underneath it lay surprise goodies:
As if I weren’t already naturally enthusiastic about Gap, this fun package sealed the deal. Now, to plan a party!

Love your bag! And your green wall. Is green your favorite color? When I think of you, I think of green, haha
So wishing I could come!
Very nice… I guess reading via google reader doesn’t help your stats, right? I should click over more than I do… I’ll work on that.
That is an awesome shirt…and a beautiful bag!!
Cute! But I don’t understand why they want your Technorati rating. I just checked mine and it hasn’t been updated since early May, and it misses a ton of incoming links. I would have thought they’d want Sitemeter or Google Analytics?
